Object's description

ul. Barcza

The Jordan Garden is the most modern playground in Olsztyn. It’s almost a hectare of great fun, where the children can play safely – ranging from the youngest toddlers to teenagers aged 16.

Opened in 2010, this kids’ play park, also known as Jordan Park, is located at Barcza street, next to the alley connecting the Nagórki and Jaroty districts. This is the first city park of such a kind established on such a grand scale. On the green area of about 8,000m2 six zones were designated, including three aimed at different age groups.

For children aged 3 to 7 years, there is a roofed sandbox, swings, a locomotive and a set of various playing equipment. The sector for older children, from 7 to 12, includes a rope net, swings, and amusement and fitness equipment. The ground for the oldest (up to 16 years of age) offers a climbing wall, a carousel, and play and fitness sets. In addition, there is an isolated mini skate park and multi-purpose grass pitch.

You can enjoy some rest in a less active sector made for, among others, mothers with babies up to 3 years.  Here there are tables to play chess, table tennis, integrating play sets or simply plenty of grass to mess around on.

All units stand on a special cushion, a flexible surface that provides safe fun. Although the area is fenced, entrance to the garden is free. In summer, Jordan Park runs until dark, but in the winter months it is closed.
